Milagros Cordero, Ed.D., OTR/L
Dr. Milagros (Mili) J. Cordero is founder and President of ITT’S For Children. She is a licensed, registered occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience treating children with developmental disabilities.
She received her basic training in occupational therapy from the University of Puerto Rico, her Masters degree in Pediatric Occupational Therapy and a Doctoral degree in Special Education from Boston University.
Dr. Cordero is certified in the use of SAMONAS and Tomatis sound therapies. She is a member of the national DIR faculty and serves as vice-chair to Georgia ’s State Interagency Coordinating Council for the Babies Can’t Wait Program, the professional advisory council of the National Cornelia De Lange Association, and the board of the Frazer Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She lectures extensively nationally and internationally on issues related to pediatrics.
Dr. Cordero also has multiple academic appointments and trains occupational therapists in children’s therapy.
Dana Altman, MS, OTR/L
Dana Altman is a licensed, & registered occupational therapist. She received an undergraduate degree from Auburn University in Rehabiliation and Special Education and a Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University.
Dana has been practicing in pediatrics for 7 years. She is trained in Sensory Integration and the administration and interpretation of the SIPT. She has also
been trained in advanced therapeutic listening and Samonas. Dana leads a
therapeutic dance program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for the
past 4 years with various types of disabilities.
Sam Elliott, M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Sam Elliott is a licensed speech pathologist with certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association. He has 25 years of experience treating children with developmental disabilities. Sam received his undergraduate degree in speech pathology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. His Masters degree in speech pathology and special education was earned at Georgia State University.
Sam has spent most of his career working in pediatrics and particularly with children with autism. He has worked 20 years with the Babies Can’t Wait program in Clayton County as a speech pathologist and clinical coordinator training other professionals in various aspects of children’s therapy. He has served on several committees and task forces with the state of Georgia office of Babies Can’t Wait.
Lalah Evans, MHS, OTR/L
Lalah Evans is a licensed, registered occupational therapist with experience in treating children with developmental disabilities. She received an undergraduate degree in psychology and a second degree in Occupational Therapy. She attended the Medical College of Georgia for her Masters in Health Science and Occupational Therapy.
Lalah has treated children implementing floortime and sensory integration techniques, improving fine motor skills, handwriting, and activities of a child's daily living. She also has experience with Tomatis sound therapy.
She keeps current in her field through continuing education and training on subjects such as sensory integration, handwriting, and updated research.
Debra Fleary, RPT
Debra Fleary is a licensed, registered physical therapist who specializes in treating children who have orthopedic needs, neuro-developmental problems and difficulties with sensory integration. She graduated from Indiana University Medical School with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1970. Debra has continued with graduate courses in neuro-development, sensory integration and orthoses from Michigan State University, Northwestern University, University of Indiana and Ball State University.
Debra has worked as a pediatric clinician for over 35 years. Clinical and teaching responsibilities have included: University hospital assistant supervisor with budgeting, clinical supervision of physical therapy students and assistants; teaching medical students, physical and occupational therapy students courses in high risk newborn, developmental disabilities, pediatric rheumatology and hemophilia. She has served as Supervisor of Physical Therapy Services in a school corporation. Debra currently serves through private practice as a consultant and serves children in Babies Can’t Wait-Early Intervention Program and provides PT services at private clinics in the Atlanta area.
Debra enjoys and is experienced in working with of all ages and diagnoses; also children whose diagnoses include Pervasive Developmental Delay, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, delays secondary to Prematurity, sensori-motor and coordination issues.
Julie McGuire, OTR/L
Julie McGuire is an occupational therapist who has been with ITTS For Children since January of 2004. She is a graduate of Boston University's Sargent College. Julie has previous experience working with children in center based, school based, and early intervention environments.
Before moving to Atlanta, Julie worked as the Occupational Therapy supervisor at the Spectrum Communications Center in New York City where she oversaw implementation of the Tomatis program. In addition, Julie works with clinics internationally and in the local Atlanta area.
Amy Molly, OTR/L
Amy Molley is a licensed, registered occupational therapist. She received her Master’s degree of Science in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University.
Amy has experience in a variety of settings including school based therapy, home health, and private practice. She treats children using a Floortime approach while attending to their individual sensory needs. Amy also has experience with Tomatis sound therapy.
Ben Wessels, MOT, OTR/L
Ben Wessels is a licensed, registered occupational therapist with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Denison University, and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill
He specializes in Floortime and Sensory Intergration and is also certified in Therapeutic Listening and is currently working toward his DIR certification
